Another finished project!

This is a picture frame I made for my Hubby for his birthday to put a picture of our daughters in.  It's supposed to say "World's Best Daddy Totally" (the whole family likes to play scrabble together and when he unwrapped the frame  he right away had to add up his score :).  The charms all represent things about him - he works at the airport (plane), he has a tractor repair business (gears), he holds the key to our hearts (key), and he cherishes his girls.
The frame is a $1 frame from Michaels.  It's been painted with acrylic paint, crackle distress paint, and distress inked.  Easy but fun.

I'm back - again!!

I've actually been getting some crafting time in lately and thought I'd try posting some of the things I've created recently.
The first thing I have to post is an album/journal for 2012, titled "My Everyday Life".   I made this from a fabulous kit I purchased from www.scrapkitstudio.com/.  The kits Melinda makes up are packed with all you need for the project except adhesive and scissors.  This particular kit featured Simple Stories Year-O-Graphy and was fun and very easy to put together with the detailed instructions that Melinda provides.  The cover, first page and last page are pretty much put together according to instructions.  The monthly pages I mostly made up on my own.   You can visit Melinda at scrapkit studio and see the complete album put together according to her instructions and also all of the other awesome kits that she has for sale.

I love this album/journal and have been enjoying filling the pages as the months go by.  There are 4 pages to work with each month - two for each month side by side like in the double page pic for Feb. and then the right side page is a file folder and opens so there are two more pages.  If need be, depending on what has been happening during the month, I add pockets, tags and fold outs to expand my space for pics and journaling.
Hopefully I'll be able to add more posts in the next few days and then keep up on a more regular basis - we'll have to see what the days ahead bring.  :)

Thank you for stopping by - God Bless

Sheila
